Representing Huawei Mr. Henry Liu – Head of Terminal was present at the official pre-match press briefing held at R. Premadasa Stadium. Huawei will also be giving away the match winner's award post all matches to the winning captain throughout the series.
The seven match one day international series will start off on the 26th of November at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and will end on the 16th of December at the same grounds, with matches scheduled at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Sooriyawewa, Hambantota and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
Mr. Thomas Liu - Managing Director of Huawei Device, Southeast Asia Region said, "As the number two smartphone vendor in Sri Lanka we are happy to partner the England Cricket tour in Sri Lanka, which will further showcase our commitment to Sri Lanka by supporting Sri Lanka's most popular sport - Cricket”.
Huawei as a leading international brand, has been supporting many sports with partnerships with Arsenal Football Club, AC Milan and the Royal Challengers Bangalore Cricket team in IPL to name a few. Huawei recently tied up with the first American sports club, Washington Redskins NFL team last month. The company has been supporting the Canberra Raider of the NRL since 2012.
