edotco Sri Lanka is a fully owned subsidiary of the world 7th largest telecommunication tower infrastructure company, edotco Group Sdn Bhd, based out of Malaysia.
edotco was granted BOI Section 17 status in 2015.
Aligned with its Group’s purpose of helping nations to advance its digital infrastructure in all the countries it operates, edotco has pledged an investment commitment of USD 55 million in 2019.
Today, edotco has built close to 500 streetlamp poles and invested close to USD 15 million in tower infrastructure since it entered the Sri Lankan market.
The additional commitment of 400 smart streetlamp poles will help Mobile Network Operators and other technology services providers to enhance their network capacity and coverage to meet the emerging demand of increased data usage by the end customers.
The innovative and sustainable smart pole solution will reduce data congestion, provide positive customer experience and contribute to the nation’s digital ambition by addressing the digital infrastructure readiness for future advanced technology.
