Second Annual Paabalaa Mela concludes in a high note

Mahapola Lotto sponsored second annual Paabala Mela event organized by the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment concluded recently in Hikkaduwa.

The event attracted thousands of Sri Lankans and tourists making the second Paabala Mela a great success.


The event took place between 19th and 23rd December at the Hikkaduwa Mahajana Kreedanganaya featuring widely popular bands Flash Back, Purple Range, Seeduwa Sakura, Arrow Star and Sanidapa making the event vibrant.


Motor bike stunts, SF rappelling, weapon exhibitions, dog shows, parachute shows and bike parades engaged the visitors showcasing the talents of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment.


The earnings from the carnival to be utilised for erecting a monument for fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and towards the needed facilities for officers and soldiers disabled during the war.

Mahapola Lotto extended their support to this nationally important event keeping in line with Mahapola’s commitment towards social welfare and extending support to officers and soldiers.


In addition Mahapola Lotto distributed gifts to the children of the soldiers as education support. The pictures above showcase some of the key highlights of the second Paabala Mela carnival.
