Viva Ginger drove Taste Revolution across Sri Lanka

Malted food drink brand Viva, on its journey to reinvent and reignite the category as a thought leader recently completed a three month, island-wide consumer activation “Viva Ginger – Rasa Gamma”. 260,000 plus consumers joined with this tasty revolution by enjoying a cup of refreshing Viva Ginger beverage for free.

The grand finale of “Viva Ginger Rasa Gamma” activation was held on the 21st February at Zoysapura Grounds, Moratuwa to mark this key milestone.


A large gathering of consumers were part of this fun-filled event. Many energy games were available for the consumers to display their energy.

The new Viva Ginger flavour combines the goodness of milk and malt together with the comforting taste of ginger flavour, which has been specially tailor made for Sri Lankan palates.


The company took this initiative to make Viva Ginger accessible to as many consumers as possible through competitive pricing and island wide distribution, so that all Sri Lankans can enjoy a refreshing and energizing cup of Tea.

“Today Sri Lankans can experience a refreshing tasty cup of tea by adding Viva Ginger to their plain tea,” stated Viva Brand Manager, Mohan Gamage.

The new Ginger variant is well-received by many malt consumers across the island.
