Arpico unveils ‘Avurudu Siritha’ for 2015

As the country prepares for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, the Arpico retail chain has made arrangements to provide its customers with a different experience this festiveseason.

Customers will witness Arpico’s flagship Supercentrestransformed for the festive season with specific symbols such as the sun, the koel and betel leaves along with Avurudu huts with sweetmeats and essentials like clay pots.


Seasonal activities such as preparations of kawum and playing of the rabana will also be on display.

Families that shop for Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 with five nominated brands at Arpico Supercentres or ‘Daily’ supermarkets will receive six daily essential products free, while families that shop for Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 with five nominated brands will receive eight daily essential products free, the retail chain has announced.


Families that shop for Rs. 10,000 or more with five nominated brands will receive 10 daily essential products free. Each qualifying shopper will receive a voucher that can be redeemed on the next visit to an Arpico Supercentre or ‘Daily’ outlet.


The promotion begins on 1st April and will run till stocks of vouchers last.

The nominated brands are St. Clairs, Dove, Signal, Flora, Maliban Biscuits, Harpic, Keells Sausages, Elephant House Sausages, Krest, Anchor Milk Powder, Edna Chocolates, Todlo Baby (body, hand and face lotion), Nature’s Secret face wash and Godrej Soap and Deo.

“Arpico is committed to ensure that shoppers get the best experience at festive seasons with great offers on essential items.


This Avurudu, a visit to Arpico will generate extra savings,” said Minodh de Sylva, Head of Marketing at Richard Peiris Distributors Ltd.

As always, Arpico’s ‘Avurudu Specials’ encompass all the traditional requirements, from gift vouchers, avurudu gifts, sweetmeats and many more seasonal products on sale along with a series of new arrivals in electronic and household items at all Supercentres.

Over 400 unconditional product offersand discounts of up to 25% on selected daily essentials, household items and electronics and up to 30% off on selected furniture, will be available at Arpico retail outlets till 30th April, the company said.

The Arpico retail chain now comprises of 17 Arpico Supercentres, 29 showrooms and 19 Arpico Daily mini supermarkets.
