HEAD becomes official partner of Davis Cup by BNP Paribas

The International Tennis Federation announced recently that HEAD will become an international partner of Davis Cup by BNP Paribas.

The three-year agreement, commencing January 2017, will see HEAD produce and sell Davis Cup branded high performance tennis balls throughout the world.

The Sri Lankan partner and sole agent for HEAD Sports Gear, 3G Sports, also the sole distributor for Plexipave Sports Surfaces and Artificial Grass offers sports tournament and sports career management along with supply of world class sporting gear to Sri Lanka and the Maldives.


Since introducing HEAD to Sri Lanka in 2008 3G Sports has supported tennis in Sri Lanka through sponsorship of players and tournaments.


Some of the key tournaments where HEAD is official ball sponsor include the SSC Open, Cinnamon Lakeside Open Ranking Tournament, Queens Open Ranking, Tennis 10s, Annual Hill Club tournament and the Wheelchair tournament and many local and outstation tournaments.


In 2010 for the first time in Sri Lanka 3G Sports also introduced the ‘Tournament Software’ through which players were able to access all details relating to the respective tournaments online, including the submission of entries and checking the fixtures and latest updates of the tournament.


3G Sports also markets HEAD range of squash and badminton racquets as well as HEAD swimwear and accessories.

HEAD ATP, Championship, PRO and the colour balls are some of the most sought-after types of HEAD balls in Sri Lanka.

Davis Cup by BNP Paribas is the World Cup of Tennis.


It is the largest annual international team competition in sport, with 135 teams entered in 2016.


The competition is 116 years old having been founded in 1900.
