Associated Motor Ways and AkzoNobel launch SMART Body Repair service

Sri Lankan automotive giant Associated Motor Ways Ltd (AMW) together with AkzoNobel’s premium vehicle refinishes brand, Sikkens, announce the launch of SMART Body Repair – a customer-centric service that responds to present-day lifestyles requiring fast turnarounds in automotive care.

Operating from AMW’s state-of-the-art workshop in Peliyagoda, the SMART Body Repair service offers customers high-quality repairs in four hours or less for all finishes, including pearl colors.

Capitalizing on the advanced technical skills of AMW’s well-trained paint technicians and its cutting-edge equipment, the new repair service will cover every step of the painting process, from denting to application and polishing, at a competitive price.

Using innovative new Sikkens products, which are able to provide significantly advanced capabilities to users, enables AMW to deliver the express service times and affordability SMART Body Repair offers.

To deliver within the promised timescales, the service utilizes Sikkens Autosurfacer Rapid – a fast- drying paint filler that requires only 20-30 minutes of drying time and offers uncompromised quality – and Sikkens Auto Clear Rapid, a game-changing product which delivers both a durable high-quality finish and is dry within a single hour of application.

Sadath Nizar, Deputy General Manager - After Sales, AMW commented:

“We are extremely delighted to partner with AkzoNobel in this innovative venture, which allows our customers to avail the quickest possible smart repair.

It facilitates the lowest downtime of a vehicle in our Bodyshop, allowing a cutting edge service offering for the first time.

Going forward, we are confident that this will become the industry standard and will strive to make further improvements in our future service offerings.

SMART Body Repair service is now available and customers are invited to make their bookings for the service via AMW prior to their visits.”

Dilshan Tharange, Business Development Manager, AkzoNobel, Sri Lanka commented:

“We are pleased to facilitate this initiative by AMW. Understanding that customers need their car back from the bodyshop as quickly as possible is key to the success of bodyshops everywhere and at Sikkens we are able to lend support, training and of course future-proof products that make this possible.”
