Jet Airways Enhances Connectivity to India & the World, Adds Second Service from Colombo to Mumbai

New flight will offer connections to key domestic destinations and beyond connections to Far East, Europe, US, Canada, SAARC and to Gulf region with direct and code share flights.

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, will add a second frequency from Colombo to Mumbai.


Following popular demand effective November 5, 2014, the introduction of this new flight will offer seamless access to airline’s primary hub at Mumbai and beyond to Far East, Europe, US, Canada and to the Gulf.

Operating a state of the art Boeing 737 aircraft, Jet Airways’ guests can now avail of same day return on this route, especially for those traveling on business.

Jet Airways flight 9W 251 will depart Colombo at 2135 hrs (LT) and arrive Mumbai at 0015 hrs. The return flight 9W 252 will depart Mumbai at 1805 hrs and arrive into Colombo at 2035 hrs (local time).

The introduction of this evening flight complements the early morning flight from Colombo to Mumbai. Jet Airways will therefore operate two flights a day to India.

The new flight will provide guests from Colombo enhanced connectivity ex Mumbai to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the Gulf, to Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong in the Far East, as well as to North America, Paris and London Heathrow with direct and code share flights.

The airline will offer Premiere and Economy service offering guests an in-flight product that is among the best in class, award-winning in-flight entertainment, as well as delectable cuisine and convenient schedules.
