Emirates SkyCargo has expanded its weekly scheduled cargo flight operations to cover 75 destinations across six continents.

Emirates SkyCargo has announced the commencement of scheduled cargo flights from Colombo, following the successful operation of special flights in the second half of April to support Sri Lankan exporters’ efforts to keep their supply chains open.

Emirates SkyCargo has announced that with effect from the first week May 2020, it has commenced dedicated cargo flights on a scheduled basis every week to 67 global destinations across six continents.

Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, has helped Sri Lankan exporters despatch nearly 100 tonnes of local produce to markets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia over the past two weeks, keeping supply chains and revenue flows open despite the suspension of scheduled passenger flights from Colombo.

Emirates has ramped up its capability to process refunds, reaffirming its commitment to customers and travel trade partners impacted by travel disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Emirates is stepping up precautionary measures at the airport and on board to ensure the health and safety of its employees and customers.

Emirates in coordination with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) will be introducing additional precautions.
