Swadeshi Khomba launches the second stage of Swadeshi Khomba Mihithala Sathkaraya program to plant kohomba trees in temples

Sri Lanka’s No. 01 herbal soap brand Swadeshi Khomba, recently launched its second phase of its CSR project “Swadeshi Khomba Mihithala Sathkaraya” program to plant kohomba trees in temples.

The Buddha once described the forest as a place that offers its gifts selflessly, sustaining life and providing shelter to all living beings.

In alignment with this wisdom, Swadeshi launched the first project of the second phase of its “Swadeshi
Khomba Mihithala Sathkaraya” program, a kohomba tree planting campaign held on the last Poya Day at the Sri Sudarshanarama Purana Viharaya in Kiribathgoda.

Speaking about the project, the Chairperson of Swadeshi, Ms. Amari Wijewardene said,

“The relationship between Buddhism and forests is one that has endured for centuries, and it continues to be a powerful source of inspiration for those who seek to protect our planet.

Let us all take inspiration from the teachings of Buddhism and work together to protect the environment for future generations”.

Nature’s miracle ingredient, kohomba (margosa), is celebrated for its remarkable herbal goodness and medicinal properties, as well as its natural ability to purify the air.

This ingredient holds a special place in the company’s heritage, as its flagship brand, Swadeshi
Khomba Original Herbal, features pure margosa (kohomba) oil as its primary ingredient.

Swadeshi Khomba Herbal has proudly maintained its position as the consistent leader in Sri Lanka's herbal personal care segment since its launch in 1943.

Renowned for its mild, yet deeply cleansing properties, it enhances natural beauty while providing gentle, natural protection.

The product is also internationally dermatologically tested to ensure proven mildness and safety for all skin types.

As a proudly local company, Swadeshi continues its commitment to nation-building and community welfare through impactful CSR initiatives across Sri Lanka.
