Featuring 36 elegantly designed apartments, this project is more than just a real estate success story.
Hence, a symbol of perseverance and transformation.
The history of this project dates back to 2017, when the original development began under a different real estate developer. Due to unforeseen circumstance, dozens of families who had invested on their future homes were left abandoned.
But in 2023, hope re-emerged in the form of Mr. Muhez Muzammil, a UK-based real estate developer born in Sri Lanka.
Driven by a deep sense of responsibility to the industry he shares a close affinity, made a bold and selfless decision.
He returned to his motherland permanently to restore halted project.
Since, he has spent nearly two years bringing this project to the near end.
He re-established the development and transformed it into a model of modern and tranquil urban living.
Beyond the bricks and mortar, Muhez’s efforts revitalized a community.
The project provided employment to over 100 local workers, ranging from engineers, architects to technical staff and support staff, many of whom were previously unemployed due to the project being dormant in the past.
His leadership set a new precedent for ethical and inclusive development. Speaking at the launch ceremony, Muhez said,
“This is not just about completing a building, it’s about restoring the identity of the original project, and I am humbled to have played a part in doing so”.
Today, Westbury Residencies stands tall as a symbol of redemption, proof that compassion-led leadership can bring about real change.
With all 36 apartments meticulously crafted to blend luxury with tranquility, the development reflects the future of urban living in Sri Lanka.
As families prepare to move into their new homes, the legacy of Westbury Residencies will continue to shine with the holding company (Bloombird Real Estate), pursuing on their next project (Westbury Urbanside) in Kalubowila, Dehiwala.
