CEAT to help Pizza Hut riders deliver their delectables safer and smarter

Businesscafe - About 800 riders who make a living delivering pizzas and fast food items before they cool, can accomplish their task in safety as a result of a collaboration between CEAT Kelani Holdings and Gamma Pizzakraft Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., the sole franchisee for Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in Sri Lanka.

This partnership enables Pizza Hut’s registered delivery riders to access a range of benefits, including special discounts on motorcycle and scooter tyres.

The offers available to them are designed to make high-quality tyres more affordable, and to promote safer and more efficient travel, the company said.

The discounts can be availed of at more than 600 authorised CEAT dealers and all secondary channel partner outlets across the island, ensuring easy access for Pizza Hut riders wherever they are located.

“Whether their lives ride on two, three, four or more wheels, motorists are our bread and butter,” said CEAT Kelani Chief Operating Officer Mr Shamal Gunawardene.

“Safety, reliability and cost-efficiency are key attributes of our products, and we are pleased to support Pizza Hut’s delivery personnel ride better, smarter and safer with CEAT.”

Gamma Pizzakraft Lanka Director – Operations Mr Chinthaka Mahesh said:

“The safety of our riders is of paramount importance to us.

Using high quality reliable equipment is an essential element in the successful on-time delivery that Pizza Hut prides itself on.

We are therefore delighted to work with CEAT to provide value-for-money tyre solutions to our riders.”

The largest restaurant operator in the quick serving restaurant industry of Sri Lanka with 118 Pizza Hut outlets and 10 Taco Bell outlets, Gamma Pizzakraft employs more than 3,000 people and was ranked second among the ‘Large’ category organisations in Sri Lanka by Great Place to Work in 2024-25.

CEAT is the highest selling tyre brand in Sri Lanka and CEAT Kelani Holdings manufactures half of the country’s pneumatic tyre requirements, playing a significant role in helping the national economy conserve foreign exchange by reducing dependence on imported tyres.

The company’s manufacturing operations encompass pneumatic tyres in the radial (passenger cars, vans and SUVs), commercial (Bias-ply and radial), motorcycle, three-wheeler and agricultural vehicle segments.
