The first Empower Her event will be held on 30th October 2023 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo and is expected to attract up over 150 female students from over 25 schools in Colombo and suburbs.
The “Empower Her” series of events is organized by rising startup company Good Grooming Pvt Limited to educate the young females in Sri Lanka about the importance of nurturing empathetic leadership and developing an entrepreneurial mindset while also focusing on critical characteristics of their personalities that will guarantee a sustainable and successful career.
The program will be a series of storytelling speaker sessions by renowned inspiring women leaders in the country who have been trendsetters and trailblazers followed by an interactive discussion forum.
The panelists at the first ‘Empower Her’ event include Ms. Zahara Ansary – Country Manager at Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA) and CIMA, Ms. Madhuka Jayasekara, Procurement head, Country Lead at Unilever Sri Lanka Limited, Dr. Dheena Sadik – Applied Nutrition, Certified Dietitian and Ms. Bernadine Jayasinghe – Managing Director at Institute of Essential Studies (IES).
