Odel to celebrate Easter with traditional goodies and fun weekend for kids

Odel has unveiled plans to help adults and children alike celebrate the fun of Easter this year with special fare and entertaining activities at its flagship store at Alexandra Place.

Commencing Saturday 21st March, the store’s ‘Delight’ section will feature a new selection of traditional Easter goodies such as chocolate bunnies, Easter eggs, Easter cupcakes, cookies, Easter carrot and bunny pops as well as a host of exciting new candies such as Easter push pops, bunny lip pops, Easter unicorn pops, milk chocolate covered peeps, ‘Angry Bird’ eggs, and many other sweets.

On the Easter weekend (4th and 5th April) the area in front of the Art Galleria at the Odel Alexandra Place car park (near the Food Court) is to be converted to a fun area for kids, offering them an opportunity to participate in competitions and engage in other fun activities.

Face painting, pin the tail, Easter egg hunts, decorate your own cupcakes and colour the Easter bunny, will be some of the activities at this location from 1pm to 5pm on both days.

Kids will also have an opportunity to meet and take selfies and dance with Odel’s mascot for the occasion, a giant Easter bunny. Children may come dressed in Easter costumes if they wish.

“Easter is celebrated worldwide with religious observances and symbols of the joy of new life,” said Ms Desiree Karunaratne, Group Marketing Director of Softlogic Holdings, under which company the Odel retail chain operates.

“Children in particular look forward to Easter eggs and Easter bunnies as part of their Easter celebrations, and Odel is happy to join in the fun by organising a special event for the many children who visit the store.”

Odel’s Easter fun weekend activities are open, free of charge, to all children who visit the Alexandra Place store in the afternoons of 4th and 5th April.
