BMICH Staff Welfare Association Wins Award for CSR Initiative

The Staff Welfare Association of the BMICH Sri Lanka’s iconic landmark, received an Award with a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Blood Transfusion Service recently for taking the initiative of organizing successful mobile blood donation campaigns.

The Award category was “Mobile Campaign Organizer”.


The mobile blood donation campaign was held in conjunction with the World Blood Donation Day on the 14th of June 2019 at the Main Conference and Concert Hall of the BMICH.


The Guest of Honor at the ceremony was Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine-Hon. Dr. Rajitha Senaratne.


“As a responsible corporate entity, we engage in many CSR activities and we encourage our staff to voluntarily participate in such initiatives to give back to society.


Donating blood is a meritorious act, where each drop goes into saving a life” said Sunil Dissanayake-Chief Executive of BMICH.


BMICH together with their staff regularly organize mobile blood donation campaigns to offer merit and to bring honor to their Founders.

BMICH is Sri Lanka’s largest and Asia’s very first purpose-built convention center with ultra modern facilities.


Recently redesigned, renovated and refurbished, BMICH is South Asia’s Premier Integrated MICE Complex with all the facilities required to host any type of convention, seminar, exhibition, conference or wedding including multi-day international conventions and conferences.
