CIPM Sri Lanka Successfully Holds 2021 Graduation Ceremony

Businesscafe - CIPM Sri Lanka – the Nation’s leader in human resource management- recently held its 2021 Graduation Ceremony at the BMICH, Colombo, where 818 successful students received their graduation certificates.

Jayantha Amarasinghe – President, CIPM Sri Lanka, Ken Vijayakumar – Vice President, Priyankara Seneviratne – Secretary, Chris Obeysekera – CEO, Committee Members, members, academic staff, and officials of CIPM Sri Lanka together with parents and well-wishers participated at the graduation ceremony.


Hon. Daniel Bood, Counsellor Political and Trade at the High Commission of Canada to Sri Lanka and Acting High Commissioner of Canada to Sri Lanka, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.


“I am delighted to congratulate our students who are graduating today.


They have worked hard to achieve this significant milestone in their lives.


Three hundred and two (302) of our students are receiving the Chartered Qualification in HRM (CQHRM) today, which is a world-recognized qualification that will help them to pursue the next level of opportunities in a geographic location of their choice”, said Jayantha Amarasinghe – President, CIPM Sri Lanka welcoming the students and their parents to the graduation ceremony.


In addition to the CQHRM graduands, four hundred and thirty-eight (438) students graduated with the Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management (PQHRM), 42 students graduated with the Diploma in Training & Human Resource Development (DTHRD), and 36 graduated with the Master of Science (M. Sc) in Human Resource Management from the University of Salford, Manchester, England.


CIPM was founded in 1959 – incorporated by Parliamentary Act No. 24 of 1976, and amended by Act No. 31 of 2018.


CIPM is affiliated with the Asia Pacific Human Resource Management Foundation and the World Federation of People Management Associations.


CIPM, a professional institute, is also a constituent member of the Organization of Professional Associations (OPA) in Sri Lanka.


CIPM comprises over 1600 Professional Members serving in public and private sector organizations.


It was elevated to Chartered Status by the Parliament of Sri Lanka on the 28th of September 2018 by amending the original Act of establishment.
