Maliban Achieves GLOBAL G.A.P Certification for Excellence in Agricultural Practices

Businesscafe - Maliban Dairy and Agri Products (Pvt) Limited which is the agri culture arm of Maliban Group, the pioneer biscuit manufacturer in Sri Lanka with over 60 years of heritage, has achieved the prestigious GLOBAL G.A.P (Good Agricultural Practices) Certification for their mango Plantation at Ethimale Kotiyagala Monaragala which produces The TOMEJC Premium Mangos under the Maliban pure harvest brand.

This significant milestone underscores Maliban’s commitment to adhering to the highest standards of quality and sustainability in its operations.

The certification process was facilitated by Control Union Inspections (Pvt) Ltd., a globally recognized and accredited body operating in over 50 countries.


The certification was officially handed over to Maliban’s Chairperson, Mrs. A.G. Kumudika Fernando by Mr. Roshan Ranawaka, Managing Director of Control Union Inspections, during a ceremony held recently.

GLOBAL G.A.P certification is highly sought after by leading global retailers as a benchmark for quality and safety for Agriculture based products.


This achievement positions Maliban as a leader in adopting sustainable and efficient production systems, further enhancing market accessibility for its products while ensuring cost-effective operations.
