They are based on the globally renowned criteria of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards (MBNQA) in the USA.
Applicant organisations are rigorously evaluated via seven key criteria such as leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement and knowledge management, workforce focus, operations focus, and results.
The National Quality Awards are also a pathway to global recognition, with winners often becoming eligible for international accolades such as the Global Performance Excellence Award (GPEA).
