Fashion Bug put Sri Lanka on Global Retail map with win at Asia Retail Congress Award 2019

CEO, Fashion Bug - Shabier Subian, was awarded the ‘Young Retail Professional of the Year’ at the Asia Retail Congress powered by CMO Asia, held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on 13 & 14 Feb-ruary 2019.

The Asia Retail Congress is Asia's single most important global platform that promotes world-class retail practices, hosting top-tier specialists in industry, from international and national brands/ retail-ers.


The two-day event aims to bring together titans of industry from around Asia, as well as fur-ther, creating a forum for discussion and influencing positive change.


Commenting on the award win, Subian said, “It is an honour to be bestowed with this prestigious award by the industry’s global titans.


I am pleased to accept this award not just for myself, but for the entire team at Fashion Bug, whilst also representing my island-nation of Sri Lanka.”


Subian has been at the helm of Fashion Bug for nearly a decade, becoming well-known for rewrit-ing the rules of retail marketing, as well as identified and spearheaded CSR projects focused on Ed-ucation and enhancement of knowledge and skill.


Through Subian’s efforts, Fashion bug has heavi-ly invested in the betterment of communities and the nation’s youth, with projects such as ‘Sisu Di-rimaga’ having benefited over 14,000 students island-wide.
