NDB Bank Celebrates International Women's Day with Araliya Medical Camp for the Second Consecutive Year
NDB Bank marked International Women's Day 2026 by hosting its Araliya Medical Camp for the second consecutive year, reaffirming the Bank’s continued commitment to the well-being and empowerment of its valued women customers.
The initiative, held on 8th March at the NDB Head Office premises on Nawam Mawatha, was organised as a special tribute to long-standing Araliya account holders.
The medical camp brought together Araliya customers for a comprehensive day of health screenings, consultations, and wellness services.
The initiative was designed to provide convenient access to preventive healthcare while recognising the loyalty and trust placed in the Bank by its women customers.
Recognising that women often prioritise the well-being of their families, careers, and communities while placing their own health last, NDB organised the Araliya Medical Camp once again in keeping with its promise of “Giving you more than you want for yourself,” ensuring that its valued customers are encouraged to prioritise their own well-being as well.
As part of the programme, healthcare partner Ninewells Hospital provided a range of complimentary laboratory tests and medical consultations.
Participants benefited from screenings including Full Blood Count (FBC), Lipid Profile, Fasting Blood Sugar, HbA1C testing, Serum Iron tests, SGPT, and Urine analysis, alongside professional doctor consultations.
These comprehensive assessments enabled attendees to gain valuable insights into their health status and reinforced the importance of early detection and preventive care.
In addition to the medical screenings, attendees also had access to vision care services, providing essential eye examinations and guidance to support overall health and early detection of potential vision concerns.
Speaking on the initiative, Sumudu Abeygunasekara - AVP, Project Finance from NDB Bank noted that the Araliya Medical Camp reflects the Bank’s ongoing commitment to recognising and uplifting women through meaningful engagement and support.
By extending healthcare services alongside financial solutions, NDB continues to enhance the value offered to its women customers while celebrating their contribution to families, communities, and the broader economy.
The Araliya proposition remains one of NDB’s key initiatives dedicated to empowering women through tailored financial products, advisory services, and community-focused programmes.
Through initiatives such as the annual medical camp, the Bank continues to strengthen its relationship with women customers while promoting healthier, more empowered communities.
