An opportunity for Investors - Forum on maximizing profits through understanding tax reforms

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has organized a forum to discuss changes to the tax system which were recently announced by the Government.

The forum, will be conducted by senior representatives of the Inland Revenue Department and PWC Sri Lanka, and will take place on 18 February 2020 from 08.30 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. at the Hilton Colombo Residences.

The event would offer a perspective on maximizing the benefits of the many concessions offered while offering comprehensive clarity on the announced reforms.

The content discussed will cover areas such as tax concessions and exemptions, taxable income, the utilization of tax losses, industry specific provisions tax and a sector-wise analysis of the recent tax reforms and relevant implications.

The Commissioner General Mr. Pradeep Silva and Deputy Commissioners Mr. Nihal Wijewardana and Mr. Nandana Kumara from the Department of Inland Revenue are the faculty at the event along with Director, Tax Services at PWC Sri Lanka Ms. Charmaine Tillekeratne.
