DFCC Bank Supports Over 20000 Devotees During Sacred Tooth Relic Exposition in Kandy

Businesscafe - In a heartfelt demonstration of cultural reverence and community care, DFCC Bank extended its support to over 20,000 devotees during the recent exposition of the sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy.

The initiative, led by the Bank’s Kandy Region, with joint contributions from employees and the institution, provided bottled water to thousands of pilgrims and concluded with a dedicated environmental clean-up campaign.

The exposition of the sacred Tooth Relic is one of Sri Lanka’s most significant religious and cultural observances, attracting tens of thousands of pilgrims across the island.

With intense heat and extended queues forming part of the pilgrimage, DFCC Bank’s bottled water distribution provided much-needed relief, enabling devotees to continue their spiritual journey in greater comfort and safety.

DFCC Bank also mobilised staff volunteers to conduct a comprehensive clean-up effort following the event in keeping with its broader sustainability agenda.

This initiative helped restore the sanctity of the area surrounding the sacred site and reflected the Bank’s commitment to environmental responsibility and civic respect.

This meaningful contribution is part of DFCC Bank’s broader focus on social responsibility and cultural stewardship.

Whether empowering local communities, championing environmental conservation, or supporting nationally significant traditions, DFCC Bank remains dedicated to building a more inclusive, respectful, and sustainable Sri Lanka.
