Amãna Bank made a generous contribution for the second consecutive year to the Serendib Educational Foundation (SEF) in providing financial assistance and scholarships to deserving students who are capable of pursuing their studies but are unable to do so due to financial constraints.

SEF provided scholarships for more than 300 needy and talented students at a ceremony held recently. The eligible students were selected from all over the island following a thorough evaluation process.

For the last 20 years SEF has provided financial support to talented students who have excelled in their secondary education and have the ability and skills to reach greater heights as they pursue higher studies.

Commenting on this initiative the Bank’s VP Consumer Banking and Strategic Marketing Mr Siddeeque Akbar said “For the past few years Amãna Bank has extended its support to uplift the educational standards of the less privileged. In line with this we are humble and happy to once again partner with the Serendib Educational Foundation which over the years has assisted and encouraged talented students in their higher education.”
