The brand has once again been recognized as the No. 1 PC vendor in the country as announced in the latest report disseminated by the International Data Corporation (IDC), making this the seventh consecutive quarter Dell has won this envious position.
Dell has successfully secured 38.5 percent of the overall PC market in Sri Lanka for the second quarter of 2014 according to IDC’s 2Q Worldwide Quarterly PC Tracker.
“This latest data issued by IDC is encouraging in that more Sri Lankan customers truly believe that we can help them drive results and increase opportunities,” said Lackshmindra Fernando, country manager, Dell Sri Lanka. “We have expanded our reach and are now available in all parts of the island through our partners.”
Over the past years Dell has successfully evolved from a PC manufacturer to an end-to-end IT solutions provider with its current portfolio consisting of desktop PCs, notebook PCs, mobile devices as well as the exiting suite of Enterprise class solutions in storage, servers, networking and IT management solutions.
“We are seeing a growing demand for our enterprise products in the country at present. It is encouraging to know that Sri Lankan customers are looking to Dell for their enterprise needs such as servers, storage, networks, data security in addition to their regular PC requirements.
