Markspen Group Backs Sri Lanka’s Food, Agriculture and Packaging Industries at ProFood ProPack & Ag-Biz 2026

Markspen Group is reaffirming its commitment to advancing Sri Lanka’s food, agriculture and packaging industries by sponsoring and participating in the 23rd ProFood ProPack & Ag-Biz 2026 exhibition, taking place from 21 to 23 August at the BMICH, Colombo.

As a group built around practical solutions that help businesses improve productivity, efficiency and value creation, Markspen Group’s presence at the exhibition brings together the capabilities of three of its agro-focused subsidiaries: Markspen Labels, Markspen Holdings and Kanadara.

Together, they represent the Group’s broader approach to connecting technology, agriculture, production and local enterprise.

ProFood ProPack & Ag-Biz provides an important platform for Markspen Group to demonstrate how technology can address real challenges across the agricultural and food production value chain.

The Group will showcase solutions spanning barcode and labelling, rice milling, grain processing, preservation, packaging and traditional Sri Lankan agricultural products.

At Markspen Labels, visitors can explore the Group’s expertise as a leading paper rolls and barcode solutions provider in Sri Lanka, including barcode and labelling systems, label printers, thermal paper rolls, barcode sticker rolls, DT, TT, Semi-Gloss and BOPP labels, ribbons and other printing consumables.

The company also offers professional labelling solutions designed around the operational needs of modern businesses.

Its product portfolio includes software, barcode printers, POS terminals, barcode scanners and POS printers.

Meanwhile, Markspen Holdings will place Smart Agriculture and modern agricultural technology firmly in the spotlight.

Its solutions extend beyond rice milling to include colour sorters, dryers and graders required for premium rice production, alongside packing and grinding machinery, oil extraction solutions and high-technology grain preservation systems.

The company will also showcase the DOMA CTP 20 DE, a double-elevator rice milling machine, alongside other agricultural machinery.

The Group’s existing exhibition material highlights automation, capacity, reduced operating costs and improved productivity as key benefits of its milling technology.

Completing the Markspen Group presence is Kanadara, which brings the story back to the value of Sri Lankan agriculture through traditional rice products and quality local agricultural products.

“ProFood ProPack & Ag-Biz is more than an exhibition for us.

It is an opportunity to demonstrate how technology, local enterprise and agriculture can work together to build more efficient and future-ready businesses,” said a Amil Galanga for Markspen Group.

“Our sponsorship reflects our belief in the industries that form the foundation of Sri Lanka’s food and agricultural economy, and our commitment to supporting their continued growth.”

Visitors can experience the Markspen Group showcase at Booths C33, C34, C43 and C44 from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. throughout the exhibition.
