SLASSCOM Women in Tech Conference 2026 Returns for Fourth Consecutive Year

The Women Technopreneurs Forum of SLASSCOM has announced the return of its flagship Women in Tech Conference 2026, taking place on 26 March 2026 at the Shangri-La Colombo.

Now in its fourth consecutive year, the conference has firmly established itself as a defining platform for women in technology within Sri Lanka’s corporate and tech calendar, a space where female professionals, leaders, and technopreneurs come together to exchange ideas, challenge norms, and shape the future of the industry.

Building on the strong momentum of the previous 3 editions that drew over 300 participants each year, the 2026 conference expands into a full-day experience aimed at sparking bold conversations, and inspiring action.

Timed to coincide with International Women’s Day 2026, it provides corporates with a strategic platform to advance their DEI commitments while equipping teams with forward-looking insights on emerging technologies, progressive leadership practices, and the workplace transformations shaping the future of work.

This year, the conference sharpens its focus on cultivating future-ready leadership in an increasingly digitised world, harnessing AI and emerging technologies as powerful catalysts for inclusion.

Among the distinguished speaker lineup, Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director of SAP Labs India, Chairperson of Nasscom, and President of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, will deliver a keynote address.

Joining her are a distinguished group of influential leaders, technopreneurs, and policymakers who will share their insights on emerging technologies, AI-driven transformation, the importance of inclusive workplaces, and the evolving role of women in the tech sphere.

Commenting on the significance of this year’s event, Shehani Seneviratne, Chairperson of SLASSCOM stated:

“The Women in Tech Conference has become a landmark in Sri Lanka’s corporate and tech calendar, championing women in leadership and driving conversations on equity, inclusion, and innovation.

This year, the focus is on future-ready leadership, harnessing AI and emerging technologies for inclusion, building workplaces that retain and elevate women, and unlocking innovation through diversity.”

Sindhu Gangadharan, shared: “I’m honored to join the Women in Tech Conference 2026 in Sri Lanka and engage with a vibrant community of women shaping the region’s technology and innovation landscape.

AI continues to create meaningful pathways for greater workforce participation, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

I look forward to sharing perspectives on how technology can expand opportunities for women and help build a more inclusive digital future.”

Speaking on behalf of the organizing committee, Zahra Cader, SLASSCOM Board Lead for the Women Technopreneurs Forum, added:

“Building on the success of previous editions, we’re excited to bring a dynamic full-day programme this year, packed with insights, knowledge, and opportunities to connect with inspiring speakers from diverse domains and professional backgrounds.”

As organisations increasingly align business strategy with DEI priorities and measurable outcomes, the Women in Tech Conference 2026 stands out as a powerful platform to turn commitment into action, enabling companies to celebrate International Women’s Day with purpose, invest meaningfully in leadership development, strengthen employer branding, equip teams with forward-looking technology insights, and foster the kind of professional networks that drive lasting impact across the digital economy.
