PR agency Mark and Comm wins double Gold at 15th ACEF Global Customer Engagement Awards

Colombo-based agency takes home PR Agency of the Year (Grand Prix Award) and PR Professional of the Year at prestigious Mumbai ceremony.

Mark and Comm (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka's leading boutique public relations and communications agency, has won two Gold awards at the 15th ACEF Global Customer Engagement Awards held on 30 April 2026 at the Westin Garden City Hotel in Mumbai.

The agency claimed Gold in both the Grand Prix category for PR Agency of the Year and the Individual Excellence Honor for PR Professional of the Year, the latter recognising managing director, Thanzyl Thajudeen.

Now in its 15th edition, the ACEF Global Customer Engagement Awards has grown into one of Asia's most respected platforms celebrating excellence in customer engagement, brand strategy, and communications, drawing entries from agencies and brands across India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, UAE, Singapore, and beyond.

Competing against a strong regional field, Mark and Comm's double Gold win marks a significant moment for Sri Lankan PR on the international stage.

The wins come at a particularly meaningful time for the agency.

Mark and Comm this year celebrate 15 years in business.

From its origins as a boutique consultancy, the agency has grown into an internationally connected communications practice, serving clients across insurance, mobility, financial services, technology, hospitality, energy, agriculture, healthcare, education, and sustainability among others.

"Winning double Gold at ACEF is a reflection of what this team has consistently delivered year after year," said Thanzyl Thajudeen.

"At 15 years old, Mark and Comm is entering a new chapter with greater confidence, greater reach, and a genuinely global perspective on what communications should accomplish for the businesses and people we work with."

This recognition builds on a strong run of international acknowledgement for the agency.

Just months ago, Mark and Comm was named Rest of South Asia PR Agency of the Year at Campaign Asia-Pacific's Agency of the Year Awards 2025, one of the most competitive and closely watched rankings in the regional industry.

Mark and Comm's standing in the global PR profession extends well beyond individual awards.

The agency is a member of the GlobalCom PR Network, a collective of over 80 independent PR agencies operating across more than 100 countries, and holds Corporate Membership of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Asia Pacific.

Thajudeen serves on the PRCA APAC Board and the CIPR International Committee, and was named in Campaign Asia-Pacific's 40 Under 40 in 2024.

He is a Chartered PR Practitioner and holds Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Chartered Institute of Marketing and Chartered Management Institute.

He was previously on the PRCA Council and CIPR Professional Standards Committee.

The agency also serves as the exclusive partner for Hootsuite and Talkwalker across Sri Lanka and the Maldives, bringing enterprise-grade social media management and real-time consumer intelligence to the region.

"Fifteen years is not just a milestone. It is proof that strategic, principled communications delivers results over the long term," Thajudeen added.

"This award belongs to every client who trusted us and every team member who showed up for that work."
