YAN Sri Lanka Youth Network Celebrates First Anniversary

YAN Sri Lanka (YAN), a youth network focused on empowering youth voices by creating a vibrant and active youth community, which was started on June 10, 2019 is celebrating its first anniversary on 10 June.

This is a volunteer youth group affiliated to ADIC Sri Lanka, a pioneer in the tobacco, drug and alcohol prevention industry in Sri Lanka since 1987.


More than 3000 Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim youth from all districts of Sri Lanka have been registered and volunteered in their districts along with the YAN Youth Network, which provides services to the physical, psychological and social well-being of the youth.


In a short span of one year there are many programs including drug prevention programs, leadership training programs, school children awareness programs, public and private organizations awareness programs, environmental conservation programs, and two projects called # Action4Right # Action4Free.


By being involved they were able to assist in achieving the Sustainable Goals.


Also, a blood donation campaign was held on May 10th at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama in accordance with the YAN's birthday, which follows on 10th June.
