Ensuring students have access to a variety of career and internship opportunities across a multitude of industries, the SLIIT Career Week was aligned to the theme ‘Meet.
Connect. Explore’ and featured 53 companies including some of the leading corporates and multinationals in Sri Lanka such as 99x, MIT, Orel IT, IFS, EY GDS, etc.
Over 1600+ students participated in the event meeting and networking with leading employers to discover the wide range and different career paths available to them post-graduation.
During Career Week, SLIIT organised specific days allocated for various faculties catering to students’ needs.
On the 29th of September students from the Faculty of Engineering, Business School and Faculty of Humanities & Sciences met prospective employers.
Additionally, the 30th of September and 1st of October were earmarked for students from the Faculty of Computing.
Demonstrating their commitment towards the event, and the students and providing a platform for their future advancement, several premier organisations came forward with sponsorships.
Dialog Axiata PLC was the Platinum Sponsor, while the London Stock Exchange Group was the Gold Sponsor.
Codegen International (Pvt) Ltd and Axiata Digital Labs were the Silver Sponsors, while the Bronze Sponsor was Calcey Technologies. Brandix Apparel Limited was the Official Merchandise Partner for the event.
