ICBS held its graduation 2023 at BMICH where more than 500 students received their highly recognized postgraduate/undergraduate degrees, professional qualifications, and diplomas in the midst of a large crowd consisting of students, distinguished guests, ICBS academic staff members, and parents.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Guest of Honour Dr. Kishu Gomes – the CEO and Managing Director of Dreamron Group of Companies, Chief Guest Professor Kasim Sheikh – Dean, School of Business and Creative Industries of University of the West of Scotland (UWS), Tom Mannapurathu Joseph – Director Strategy ISDC India, together with Dr. M. Ganeshamoorthy – Academic Dean, Pravinth Rajaratnam – Director of Academics, Chinthaka Wijayaratne - Director of Strategy and Operations and Sivabaskaran Shanmugam – Chairman, all of ICBS.
During the event, over 100 graduates in BA (Hons) in International Business and Finance, over 50 graduates in BA International Business and Finance, over 35 graduates in BA Global Business, and over 30 Diploma holders for International Business and Finance were conferred by the University of the West of Scotland academia and ICBS academic staff members.
Additionally, over 250 graduates who had completed their MBA in International Business, over 15 finance profession graduates in CIMA Finance Leadership Programme (CGMA – FLP) and a special recognition category of awards for ICBS student achievers with top performing achievers in business school sports were all felicitated by Guest of Honour, Dr. Kishu Gomes.
Apart from providing all students with an outstanding education in business and finance, ICBS also provides state-of-the-art amenities for extracurricular activities including football, futsal, rugby and cricket– placing first in the Inter University Cricket Tournament, and first for the ROZA LIGA Inter University Football Tournament.
In addition to their academic pursuits, students may develop critical leadership and interpersonal skills by joining the ICBS Student Council, which actively participates in programs and social responsibility-focused activities.
The Rotaract Club of ICBS has set up events throughout the year to encourage student networking, leadership development, and having fun through service! Furthermore, ICBS goes above and beyond expectations by helping students find work through internship programs, giving them a firsthand look at the competitive environment of modern business.
The "Next Gen" student gains vital skills from these basic practices and comprehensive skills development, which also boosts their confidence and positive perspective as they become ready for the future.
