The Samaposha 'Dinana Daruwo' programme gives priority to showcase children’s educational and sports talents, nutritional needs, creativity and instilling good values.
To ensure and develop the physical and mental wellbeing, and sports skills of the future generation, the ‘Samaposha Provincial School Games 2023’ is organized across five (05) provinces such as the North Central, North western, Eastern, Uva and Southern.
More than 70 events are held during these Games where over 1800 school and more than 18,500 athletes participate.
Another phase of the CBL Samaposha Provincial School Games 2023 was organized with the Eastern Provincial School Sports Tournament held recently and concluded successfully at the Leelaratne Stadium, Kantale.
The tournament championship was won by the Batticaloa Paddiruppu Zone and the Runners-up were the Akkaraipattu and Kalmunai zones.
The sole purpose of the CBL Samaposha 2023 Provincial School Games is to empower Sri Lankan school sportsmen and sportswomen, to ensure their health and fitness, and to produce Sri Lankan athletes who can win on the international stage.
