Prima’s instrumental role in bolstering junior golf has paved the way for a thriving golfing community, with the upcoming Sri Lanka Junior Open Golf Championship 2023 set to be a showcase of emerging talent not only from Sri Lanka but also more than 10 entries from overseas as well.
The tournament will tee off at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) course on 20 to 22 December with 18 and 19 December being the practice rounds for the youngsters.
Tee off is expected to be at 8 am.
The Sri Lanka Junior Open is the established benchmark for the world amateur golf rankings (WAGR) for junior golfers.
The winner of the Sri Lanka Junior Open will be crowned the National Junior Champion in both boys’ and girls’ categories.

Their continuous involvement in the Sri Lanka Golf has fostered an environment where young talents like Reshan Algama, Kaya Daluwatta, Adithya Weerasinghe, Jevahn Sathasivam, Kumar Dhanushan, Vinuda Weerasinghe, Rathis Kanth brothers and Sherin Balasuriya are a few who showed their class in the course to become a role model among the youngsters.

The championship is poised to be a showcase of young talent, international camaraderie, and the unwavering support that Prima has provided to the sport during the last 15 years.
Prima Sunrise Bread, the title sponsor of this tournament, will as always provide nutrition for the players during the event.
The Prize giving is scheduled for 22nd December 3.00 PM.
