Truly Ceylon Tea expands to global markets

Businesscafe - Truly Ceylon Tea (Pvt) Ltd - a premium Ceylon tea brand recently announced the launch of their range of tea products for the international markets in a bid to boost the sales of premium quality Ceylon tea, the world over.

Having presented their first audited report by Ernst & Young to the Bank Of Ceylon (BOC) on the 25th of October 2021, Truly Ceylon Tea began the expansion of their international distribution network.


Staying true to their brand name, Truly Ceylon Tea has differentiated their brand and products as 100% single-origin Ceylon tea, offering staple-free, individually foil-sealed tea bags for freshness, consisting of the highest quality tea Sri Lanka has to offer.


Speaking with Chairman, Truly Ceylon Tea (Pvt) Ltd - Savith Kalupathirane noted,


“Sri Lanka is an exporter of high-quality tea; that should be made accessible to tea lovers globally, as it is our prerogative to take Ceylon Tea to the world, which in one word is - perfection”.


Pledging to ensure the highest standard of tea - Truly Ceylon Tea is GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 (recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative - GFSI), FSC certified for sustainable packaging, Ozone friendly tea and Lion Logo certified.


Concluding, Kalupathirane stated “Through the truly unique flavour, aroma, packaging and marketing of Truly Ceylon Tea - as premium tea exporters, we aim to not only make Truly Ceylon tea an international tea brand within the imported tea brands category but also realign Sri Lanka’s market share of the international tea market, through our efforts.


Our goal is twofold - bring Truly Ceylon Tea to the global market, as well as uplift our nation’s economic development as we drive sales & marketing to increase national income”.


At present Truly Ceylon Tea is available for purchase locally and internationally and is becoming popularly known (both locally and internationally) as a premium quality Ceylon tea.
