This company, which already operates the first three luxury nursing homes in Sri Lanka and one at 4/4A Bloomsbury Square, London, the United Kingdom, is introducing another state-of-the-art elderly care home to the country.
The nursing home, which is to be opened in Hanwella will feature 100 bedrooms on two acres of scenic green land along the peaceful Kelani River.
Originally a tourist hotel, the building will be renovated to meet ISO 9001-2015 International Standards and Elderly Residential Care Guidelines, ensuring a high level of care and comfort.
Manuja Hewawasam, the founding Chairman of Royal Nursing Home Private Limited, first brought international-standard elderly care to Sri Lanka in 2007.
With over 25 years of experience in the field of elderly care and a team of more than 1,200 staff, including doctors, matrons, and nurses, he has made a significant impact on the industry.
He holds an MBA in Business Administration from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University in India, a Diploma in Healthcare Management from Parkway College, Singapore, and a diploma from the College of Information Technology, Sri Lanka.
His extensive training has supported his success in both business and healthcare.
The new Hanwella facility will offer affordable, high-quality services tailored to the needs of senior citizens in line with the current economic situation.
Hewawasam said that this nursing home would be ideal for elderly individuals looking to enjoy their retirement in a serene, natural setting.
He envisions it as a peaceful, comfortable space for seniors who want to spend their later years in a beautiful environment.
