Veteran Banker Dharshanie Perera appointed to Pan Asia Bank Board

Businesscafe - Veteran Banker Dharshanie Perera has recently been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Pan Asia Banking Corporation PLC.

She will thus serve in the capacity of a Non-Executive Independent Director.

Dharshanie Perera was the former Assistant General Manager at Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC where she boasts 40 years as a banking professional.


Renowned for being a people centric banker, she was well known within the industry with expertise across Corporate/Retail/SME lending, digitization of Banking products, credit monitoring and banking operations.

Being a stalwart leader in the personal banking division she was instrumental in devising strategic measures that elevated banking products and bridged the gap between the market expectations and the delivery of the local banking eco system.


Dharshanie further stands tall as a staggering example for women in work.


Having entered the banking industry at its very entry level, her exemplary work ethics and commitments being recognized by this latest appointment.

Apart from the wealth of experience, Dharshanie is also a diploma holder and associate member of the Institute of Bankers, Sri Lanka (IBSL).


She is also a Fellow member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management (FICM) as well as a Fellow at the Chartered professional managers Institute (FCPM).


Reflecting her pioneering knowledge in the field of brand building and strategy development, she also functions as a Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) – London, United Kingdom.
