They are Sanjaya Bandara - FCA, ACMA, MBA, BSc – Partner, BR De Silva & Co., Chartered Accountants (Audit firm) and Asoka Bandara - CIM (UK), MBA (Colombo).
Sanjaya Bandara is the Immediate Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Sri Lanka and a Member of SEC, Chairman of the Audit Committee of SEC, Board Member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants, Chairman of Mercantile Investments and Finance Plc 2022/23.
He is also a Pl Member of Council - University of Kelaniya, Member of the Council – AAT Sri Lanka, Member of the stakeholder engagement consultative committee of Central bank of Sri Lanka (2022/2023), Member of the Board of Directors – Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) – 2020/2023 and Member of the committee appointed by the Hon. Minister of Finance to improve ease of doing business.
Asoka Bandara’s tenure with Global MNC “Nestle” included strategic roles as Head of National Sales and counts over 40 years of exposure in the Demand Generation (Marketing) function of which over 20 years is in Senior Management experience.
He headed the local conglomerate Delmege Forsyth Limited as the Group Managing Director and currently is the Group Head of Corporate Affairs & Strategy to Sri Lankan Confectionery and Dairy Blue Chip “Maliban” Biscuit Confectioneries (Pvt) Ltd.
Asoka was on the boards of Sri Lanka’s LPG market leader Litro Gas, Litro Terminals and at NBFI leader - Peoples Leasing (PLC) as an independent Director from 2020 -2025.
Asoka is a visiting MBA lecturer and a paper-setting examiner for Strategic Management and currently offers KPI-based Management Consultancies and Corporate training with Blue Chip Sri Lankan companies.
With the new additions, the board comprises SJM Anzsar, L R Watawala, A R Rasiah, Chandima Perera, Kris Wadia, Ms Anusha Ambiliwatta, Sanjaya Bandara and Asoka Bandara.
