Businesscafe - Talking face to face, discovering innovations, and listening to interesting presentations – this is the benefit of a visit to a trade fair.

The German Rubber Conference and International Rubber Conference DKT/IRC 2021 had been postponed due to COVID.

Now it finally takes place from June 27 to June 30, 2022.

HOFFMANN MINERAL is also participating again.

The filler manufacturer uses the trade fair to present its portfolio.

Highlights at exhibition stand 530 in Hall 9 are, among other things, the new Tailored Filler Solutions and the filler AKTISIL Q.

The latter has been specially developed for environmentally compatible applications in silicone rubber.

Specialist presentations by HOFFMANN MINERAL will also focus on environmental aspects such as sustainability, CO2 reduction, and the conservation of resources in the development of elastomers.

Tobias Brandmeier, Area Sales Manager at HOFFMANN MINERAL GmbH, is convinced that the industry will focus much more on the environmental aspect of new developments in the future.

In his opinion, the most promising potential for the in-house product Neuburg Siliceous Earth is therefore represented in carbon black replacement.

“Our products ensure lower CO2 input and consumption here, compared to petroleum-based carbon black.”

The PAH-free Neuburg Siliceous Earth can also prevent the migration of hazardous substances to the greatest possible extent.

Another option for reducing harmful substances is, for example, the use of fillers such as Aktisil Q, which enables, i. e., the use of a chlorine-free peroxide in silicone rubber.

The Tailored Filler Solutions by HOFFMANN MINERAL spot weld by the use of hollow glass spheres to reduce density and weight, which can lead to lower CO2 consumption in mobility applications.

“Our focus on sustainable solutions in the rubber sector, our regional orientation, and our strong technical know-how also help us with regard to the current global developments.”

Nevertheless, the production of energy-intensive products is currently an enormous challenge.

“We are all the more pleased to be able to exchange ideas with specialists and professionals from the industry at the trade fair."
