The Asian Games, recognised as the world’s second-largest multi-sport event, brings together athletes from across Asia to compete in a wide range of sporting disciplines.
The torch relay, a symbol of unity, strength, and the pursuit of excellence marks the official start of the Games and honours outstanding individuals who embody the spirit of athleticism.
Rakhil Fernando, an entrepreneur and a role model for many, has made significant contributions to the South Asian community, specifically Sri Lanka. Rakhil spearheaded numerous initiatives including Daraz Donates, one of the first multi-charity donation platforms in the country.
Rakhil is also an Ambassador for Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organisation that helps people in local communities and worldwide build or improve a place they can call home.
