The Presidential Export Award is the country’s most prestigious award presented to exporters by the President, recognizing the outstanding contribution made to the export sector and the economic development of the country.
The ceremony was graced by his excellency the President of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayaka.

Our state-of-the-art facilities employ over 15,000 employees, and this award honors their dedication and commitment to making Omega Line the dominant exporter to Europe,” said Sudam Kiriella – Director/CFO of Omega Line Ltd.
“Celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year, Omega Line will be expanding Benji Ltd.’s capacity by adding another factory to our manufacturing facilities,” he added.
Omega Line was founded in 1999 with its first and flagship apparel manufacturing facility in the North-Western province of Sri Lanka. Since its inception, Omega Line has grown to over 4,500 employees at Sandalankawa, and its Vavuniya factory, which is the largest investment in the Northern province, employs 2,900.
Omega Line is a wholly owned investment of Oniverse (formerly Calzedonia), based in Verona, Italy, and the brainchild of Group President Dott. Sandro Veronezi.
Its portfolio of brands comprises renowned names including Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Tezenis, and Falconeri, which speaks volumes about the outstanding success of Omega Line in contributing to the Sri Lankan economy.
The group has invested over US$400 Million in Sri Lanka and exported a combined total of over 200 million garments last year.
