Omega Line Wins Multiple BMPC Excellence Awards

Businesscafe - Omega Line Ltd, Sri Lanka’s largest exporter of apparel to the European market has won 4 prestigious awards at the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers (CPM) of Sri Lanka’s Best Management Practices Company Awards (BMPC) 2025.

These awards are the gold award for the Apparel & Garments Exports cluster, silver award for the Social Responsibility Cluster, Bronze award for the Digital Literacy cluster, and was also adjudged as one of the Twenty Outstanding Companies in Best Management Practices.


The awards ceremony was held recently at the Monarch Imperial, Kotte with the participation of Sri Lanka’s elite business community.

In consideration for the BMPC awards in the Digital Literacy Cluster, Omega Line identified specific comparative inefficiencies and operational challenges that hindered productivity and efficiency which skimmed through the entire organization.


These were addressed by deploying and integrating game-changing digital solutions to core operational systems in the areas of production tracking, HR & administration, and line-balancing.


The digital solutions helped Omega Line achieve unparalleled efficiency, workforce empowerment, and production accuracy, setting a new industry standard in digital workforce transformation.

Omega Line was founded in 1999 with its first and flagship apparel manufacturing facility in the North-Western province of Sri Lanka.


Since its inception, Omega Line has grown to over 4,500 employees at Sandalankawa, and its Vavuniya factory, which is the largest investment in the Northern province, employs 2,900.


Omega Line is a wholly owned investment of Oniverse (formerly Calzedonia), based in Verona, Italy, and the brainchild of Group President Dott. Sandro Veronezi.


Omega Line’s portfolio of brands comprises renowned names including Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Tezenis, and Falconeri, which speaks volumes about the outstanding success of Omega Line in contributing to the Sri Lankan economy.


The group has invested over US$400 Million in Sri Lanka and exported a combined total of over 200 million garments last year.
