NOLIMIT joins National Childrens Day celebrations at Dehiwala Zoo ( 28 Photos )

NOLIMIT, the biggest fashion chain in Sri Lanka, joined hands with the National Zoological Gardens-Dehiwala for the second consecutive year to celebrate The National Children’s Day fell on the 01st October, 2014 in a grand scale.

Dehiwala Zoo had a carnival atmosphere with children and their families flocking in from early morning to celebrate the day. Presence of around 15,000 children including 300 differently abled children from the families of armed forces and police made the day special and the glamour added by the items presented by differently abled children at the inauguration ceremony grabbed attention of many and was the talk point of the day.

NOLIMIT, being the main sponsor of the event, organised many activities and competitions to add variety for the day’s line-up. Some were seen busily involved in art competitions organised by NOLIMIT while others were posing with the cartoon characters who entertained children. There were many other games and play items including carnival games, face painting and bouncers that provided maximum enjoyment for children. Apart from that, winners of competitions also received fabulous gifts from NOLIMIT.

Being in the market for almost 22 years as a responsible corporate citizen, NOLIMIT has contributed to numerous welfare programmes for the past so many years to make peoples’ lives better. Sharing his thoughts about the decision to continue the sponsorship of the Notional Children’s Day for the second time, Raneez Sheriff, Marketing Manager- NOLIMIT said “Children are our future.


We must protect their world now to present them as valuable citizens to the future of this country. As NOLIMIT, we thought of taking the responsibility of nurturing our most important asset-children by taking part in this event which is nationally important”.
