Asiri Laboratories received this coveted award under the ‘Healthcare sector-Large category’ and notably this is the first time any private medical laboratory in Sri Lanka was recognized for high quality standards and honored for such on a national platform at this level.
The Sri Lanka National Quality Awards is an annual programme that recognize Sri Lankan organizations for Performance Excellence.
Winners are evaluated on criteria based on the world renowned Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award of the USA.
Over 80 countries globally employ this eminent quality framework to recognize organizations with highest standards of performance excellence.
A rigorous site visit and review process was conducted by the examiners to ensure the organization is aligned to the aspects of performance excellence.
Commenting on receiving the award, Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Manjula Karunarathne said, “We are extremely proud that Asiri Laboratories is the recipient of this prestigious award.
