Sri Lanka Launched the First Electric Power Vehicle Charging Station

The first electric power vehicle charging station was declared opened at No 10, Tickel Road, Colombo, by the Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka.

It is the first step towards making 10 percent of road transportation to electricity powered by 2020, compared to 100 percent fuel driven at present.

It is intended to generate that electricity through the production of green electricity.
