Vin Diesel says Furious 7 will probably win best picture at 2016 Oscars

In an interview with Variety, Vin Diesel said Furious 7 "will probably win best picture at the Oscars, unless the Oscars don't want to be relevant ever."

It seems Vin Diesel has high hopes for the seventh installment in the Fast & Furious franchise as he believes this will be Universal's "biggest movie in history" and has what it takes to win best picture at next year's Oscars.

However, that is unlikely to happen taking into account the Academy is reluctant into giving the best picture award to a franchise as even the Harry Potter and Batman movies failed to grab the sought-after award.

Furious 7 debuted last week at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Conferences & Festivals and it was very well received by the audience.

It will be out in theaters all over the world on April 3 when fans of the franchise will see Paul Walker playing the role of Brian O'Conner one last time.
