Sathosa Motors (SML) launched its first-ever Isuzu NMR Dump Truck in the Sri Lankan market to fill the niche for a high value workhorse vehicle that combines long term value and durable performance to enhance businesses.

The vehicle was launched at a ceremonious event held at the SML Head Office at 25, Vauxhall Street, Colombo 2; on 22nd November 2016.

The occasion was graced by senior officials of Isuzu Japan and Itochu Trading with their respective teams, alongside the senior management and staff of SML.

The launch of the all-new Isuzu NMR is in keeping with the company’s commitment to align its portfolio in tune with evolving customer needs.

SML leads the sector in the Light Commercial Vehicle category as the exclusive distributor of Isuzu.

Commenting on the momentous launch of the new vehicle category, SML’s Managing Director, Deshamanya Tilak Dias Gunasekera said, “We are pleased to welcome the Isuzu NMR Dump Truck into our wide portfolio of vehicle categories.

As a leader in the Light Vehicle Category, SML has been liaising closely with businesses both medium and large over decades and the insight we gleaned indicated the need for a high quality vehicle in the dump truck category.

We are confident that this reasonably priced Isuzu NMR will fulfil and exceed customer expectations and help enhance their business operations in both the hardware and construction sectors.

The overwhelming pre-launch demand for the product affirms our ability to understand the needs of our customers.

Isuzu NMR customers can avail themselves of a warranty period of three years or 100,000 kms, whichever occurs first, which is a unique offer.

Furthermore, as they are manufactured in Japan, Isuzu vehicles are known for their exceptional quality, long term durability and high resale value. We are confident that this vehicle will serve our customers profitably.”

The key highlights of the Isuzu NMR Dump Truck include enhanced loading space and higher horse power, both factors which are essential for optimizing carrying capacity for businesses.

The vehicle holds the capacity to carry an impressive load of 2.7 tonnes, while its 4HGI 4570 cc engine boasts horsepower of 121.

The extended warranty period of three years or 100,000 kms, whichever occurs first, is a clear advantage that the vehicle brings to the market.

Its large capacity fuel tank can hold up to 75 litres of diesel to facilitate long road journeys.

The fact that its body is manufactured by the world’s best body fabricating company, Shin Maywa Industries of Japan, reflects the sturdy engineering and design excellence of the vehicle.

The brand new Isuzu NMR is priced attractively and promises low maintenance costs as a result of the Japanese technology used in its manufacturing.

Another advantage of owning the Isuzu NMR is SML’s world-class Isuzu after-sales services at its state-of-the-art repair and detailing workshops.

The company has established a new Isuzu workshop at its head office, at an investment of Rs. 30 Mn, with plans to set up another state-of-the-art workshop in Peliyagoda, with an investment of Rs. 400 Mn.
