Sri Lanka’s history is one which is rich with notable individuals who have done great contributions to our country.

Their commitment and the passion to revolutionize technology and engineering is deeply rooted in Sri Lanka; a nation with a collection of kingdoms consisting of notable Kings and Queens whose contributions to society are pillars of innovative thinking and sustainable planning.

The 2020 DIMO Wall Calendar pays tribute to few of these notable Kings and Queens, to inculcate passion and patriotism of Sri Lanka’s ancient achievements and the pioneering initiatives.

DIMO believes this calendar will not only become useful especially for children but also will allow adults to enhance their knowledge about ancient Sri Lanka.

DIMO’s 2020 Wall calendar consists of 12 large pages and a cover page.

Each page depicts a King or a Queen with a colourfulhand drawing and an insightful description of the person and his or her contribution to the nation of Sri Lanka.

The man behind the striking drawings is Sumith Akmeemana.

One of the few Sri Lankan artists with the ability to undertake Buddhist Temple fresco paintings and temple sculptures, Kala Keerthi Shasanabandu Sri Lankaputhra Sumith Akmeemana is a talented artist who has achieved fame in many spheres.

He is currently the Art Director at Sarva Integrated, the agency behind the creation and who have been entrusted with designing the annual DIMO Calendar for the last 9 years.

Sarva’s in-depth knowledge of the pulse of the Sri Lankan Consumer; along with the diversity of talent within their team, enabled them to create a highly regarded work such as DIMO’s 2020 calendar.

Since 1939, DIMO has been a proud forerunner in establishing the benchmark for world class engineering and technological solutions.

This year’s theme is more informative and includes a lot of unknown details of our ancient heroes.

The demand for this year’s calendar has been tremendous.

As a responsible corporate citizen who recently celebrated 80 years of existence in Sri Lanka, we have a duty to create awareness about how great ancient Sri Lanka was – to spur up the children and the youth.”

Moreover, DIMO’s 2020 Wall Calendar is produced in a responsible manner.

The calendar is produced on FSC Certified art board / paper using inks and water-based coatings produced with environmentally safe raw materials free of toxic heavy metals such as Lead, Cadmium, Mercury and Chromium.

The FSC certification is considered the "Gold Standard" designation for wood harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious, and economically viable.

The calendar also includes icons and images highlighting important dates of 2020, which is useful to the user.
