Sysco LABS Continues Strategic Partnership with AmCham Internship Bootcamp 2026 to Develop Sri Lanka's Future Talent
Sysco LABS has renewed its commitment to developing the next generation of professionals by partnering for the second consecutive year as the Strategic Partner of the AmCham Internship Bootcamp 2026, an initiative by the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka (AmCham Sri Lanka) in partnership with the US Embassy in Sri Lanka.
Now in its third edition, the AmCham Internship Bootcamp brings together C-suite executives and senior leaders from AmCham member companies to mentor high-potential university students in their final years of study.
The program offers participants a unique "Fast Track to Corporate" experience, combining structured mentorship, professional development, and internship opportunities to help bridge the gap between academia and the workplace.
As Strategic Partner, Sysco LABS continues to play a key role in supporting the program’s vision of preparing young talent for successful careers while strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
The program equips mentees with practical workplace knowledge, leadership exposure, career guidance, and invaluable opportunities to learn directly from experienced industry leaders.
Through close engagement with mentors, participants gain a deeper understanding of corporate expectations, professional skills, and the mindset required to thrive in today's dynamic business environment.
Commenting on the partnership, Asanga Nugawela, Senior Director – Delivery at Sysco LABS and Project Lead for the AmCham Internship Bootcamp 2026, said,
"At Sysco LABS, we believe developing future talent is a shared responsibility.
Programs like the AmCham Internship Bootcamp create meaningful opportunities for students to learn from experienced industry leaders, gain practical exposure, and build the confidence to transition into the corporate world.
As Strategic Partner, we are proud to continue supporting an initiative that strengthens Sri Lanka's talent pipeline while fostering the leadership, collaboration, and professional skills that will shape the country's future workforce.”
The AmCham Internship Bootcamp reflects a shared commitment among Sri Lanka's leading organisations to invest in young talent through mentorship, experiential learning, and industry collaboration.
By connecting students with accomplished business leaders across diverse sectors, the program provides participants with perspectives and experiences that extend well beyond the classroom.
For Sysco LABS, the partnership aligns closely with its long-standing commitment to education, leadership development, and capacity building.
Through initiatives such as the Sysco LABS Academy, Project GLO, and strategic collaborations with industry and academia, the organisation continues to invest in creating pathways that empower future professionals and contribute to the sustainable growth of Sri Lanka's technology and business ecosystem.
