Citizen Eco-Drive Satellite Wave F900 is GPS synchronised and solar powered

Citizen Watches has announced a new analogue watch that still manages to fit into the smart tech category.

The Limited Edition Eco-Drive Satellite Wave F900, Citizen claims, is the world's thinnest light-powered GPS satellite-synchronised watch.

The world's best claims don't stop there though. According to Citizen the Satellite Wave F900 is also the world's fastest at getting signal reception too.

The combination of solar power and GPS synchronising should mean owners of the F900 never need to worry about setting the time again, or changing the battery.

This could come in very handy for travellers who would find the watch resets to the local time zone without the wearer having to do anything.

Plus it has dual time zones so if you want to keep track of the time back home that shouldn't be a problem.

Yes GPS uses up more power than a normal watch, but since it's solar powered there's no need to worry about that.

The watch and case are made from "Super Titanium" so should be scratch resistant as well as lightweight.

Pricing and release date for the Citizen Eco-Drive Satellite Wave F900 have not yet been announced.
