EngEx 2025 powered by SLT MOBITEL celebrates engineering excellence

As announced during a press conference held on 26 August 2025, EngEx 2025 will be powered by SLT-MOBITEL as the title partner.

The engineering exhibition, organized by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, also marks the Diamond Jubilee of the faculty, celebrating 75 years of excellence in engineering education in Sri Lanka.


The partnership is the first time SLT-MOBITEL is endorsing EngEx 2025, demonstrating a deep commitment to support Sri Lanka's engineering education and build the next generation of innovators.


The collaboration strengthens EngEx 2025, which is expected to be the largest engineering exhibition of its kind in Sri Lanka.


The five-day exhibition, scheduled from 23rd to 27th September 2025 at the University of Peradeniya premises, anticipates over 50,000 participants including industry leaders, academics, professionals, school students, and the public celebrating innovation and aims to inspire future engineering talent.


EngEx 2025 will showcase cutting-edge research and innovative projects from the Faculty of Engineering and provide a comprehensive platform for industry stakeholders to display their latest technologies, products, and services.


The exhibition aims to boost connections between industry and academia to drive national development and inspire young minds to pursue careers in engineering and technology.


Visitors will experience an immersive journey through engineering innovation, featuring interactive displays, live demonstrations, and direct engagement opportunities with researchers, industry professionals, and students.


The event promises to bolster collaboration to advance technological progress in Sri Lanka and encourage the next generation to embrace engineering careers.


Prof. Lilantha Samaranayake, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, commented, “EngEx2025 will showcase a wide array of cutting-edge research, pioneering innovations, and collaborative projects that exemplify the impact of engineering in shaping a sustainable and technologically advanced future.


The exhibition will also provide a platform for engagement between academia, industry, students, and the broader community, fostering knowledge exchange and inspiring future generations of engineers.”


The exhibition features ten specialized zones covering the full spectrum of engineering innovation : Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science; Biomedical Engineering and Mechatronics; Electronics and Embedded Systems; Robotics, Automation, and Manufacturing; Information Technology and Computing; Energy, Environment, and Sustainability & Nature-Based Technologies; Materials and Nanotechnology; Modern Construction Technologies; Science, Entertainment, and Mathematics of Engineering; and a dedicated Industry Zone.


SLT-MOBITEL will host a comprehensive stall at EngEx 2025, showcasing cutting-edge digital solutions including fleet management systems, SLTravel platform, alongside digital products such as Kaspersky and Play Street platforms.


Enterprise offerings covering SLT-MOBITEL Next Generation Networking services SD-WAN and Akaza Multi Cloud services will also be featured, with Mobitel 5G technology.


The interactive space features multiple experience zones, a 5G gaming area for hands-on connectivity experiences, AR/VR and AI demonstrations, plus broadband showcases highlighting trial 5G connectivity and FTTR technology.


Visitors can explore these innovative technologies and discover how SLT-MOBITEL's comprehensive portfolio can transform their business operations and digital experiences.
