New mid-range smartphones from Huawei to debut high-end features

According to a reliable source within the company, Huawei is set to launch two new-mid range smartphones in Sri Lanka.

The source revealed that the devices would be under the much successful Huawei ‘Y-series’ range.


The devices are believed to be targeted at the highly competitive mid-range smartphone market in the country and are already shipped and have obtained the necessary clearances and will be available in the market from the end of March.


The devices will feature high end features for a mid range price range offering best value for Huawei customers.


Industry analysts point out that the two mid-range smartphones could be the Huawei Y7 Pro and the Huawei Y9.


If so the Y7 Pro will be the first mid-range smartphone in the market to sport three cameras while the Y9 will be the first four-camera smartphone with a 4,000mAh battery in the mid-range pricing category.


Sri Lanka could anticipate the entry of this unique device analyzing past Huawei regional launch campaigns and product introductions in Sri Lanka.


According to the source from the local office who remained to be anonymous, the two smartphones are for those who are looking for a better camera experience with a powerful battery for an affordable price.


The two products will be launched in due course and will be attractive and affordable for anyone who is hunting for better performance rather than traditional smartphone brands.


The Y7 Pro and the Y9 will both incorporate a Full View Display with a powerful RAM and a distinct ROM it is revealed.


Earlier last week Android Headlines (AH) leaked a product teaser image by American Blogger and phone leaker Evan Blass with regards to the upcoming Huawei Y9.


AH further reported that the smartphone actually got certified by the FCC recently.


The teaser by the blogger featured a rear dual camera packed with a powerful battery.


Evan’s teaser further suggested that Huawei customers will see an affordable smartphone, which would be fueled by one of Huawei’s Kirin 600-series.


Furthermore the Huawei Y9 images which were on the FCC’s website confirmed that the phone will be made out of metal, and that it will ship with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.


News about the product in the web launch confirms that the Huawei Y9 will sport an 18:9 display aspect ratio.
